Many of us are lucky enough to enjoy a nice long weekend thanks to the holiday. If you gotta work, don’t bitch….at least you have a job to go to!!! I’d love to head to the beach this weekend, but I hate dealing with the holiday crowds. Whatever you do this weekend, be safe. The pic above was taken at Huntington Beach, CA. Very cool beach!!

Here’s a picture of Tyra that taken last Friday at Phx Sky Harbor. She’s showing off her driver’s license. I’m happy for her, but I wish I could have been there to help teach her how to drive. Knowing her momma though, I know she has been taught well. I’ll always treasure the moments I spent with Cuzzie when she was learning to drive. There was one moment, 2 years ago, when I let Tyra drive the Tundra 3 miles to our house from the grocery store. About 5 years ago, when she would be with me in my Civic, I’d let her shift gears when I pushed in the clutch.

Her momma definitely knows how to parallel park. Check out her parking job with her Scion. Next time I’m in Cali with these two I see a parking challenge in our future. SiL I see a bet coming!!!! Knowing my history you know where to put your $$$.

If I wanted to set a trap for my roadrunner, I would use shoes as bait. SiL is a shoe freak and just can’t resist the opportunity to browse for that next pair of killer shoes. Most likely the shoe she picks will have an open toe and a wedge heel. I doubt that she’d ever pick a stiletto heel. If she does, it’ll be a TMI story that I’m sure she’ll tell me all about.

Everytime we go to LA we try to visit different places. This past trip when finally made our way to the world famous Pink’s in Hollywood.

We missed the 1st flight and we didn’t arrive at Pink’s until 11:30. The line was long. We waited about 40 minutes to place our order, but the food was well worth the wait. Mrc. C had a chili dog and I had a bacon burrito dog!

On Friday I saw Tyra for the first time since Christmas 2007. She was flying back from STL and had a layover in PHX. I spent about 40 minutes with her at the gate of her connecting flight. Wow…she’s not a little girl anymore. I’ll get her most current picture posted soon. This is another old pic that was taken around Christmas 2007.

Last weekend Mrs.C spent some time with Tyra’s momma out in Stockton, CA.They went to some dive bar and the drinks were cheap. The Pabst advertised in the special was 24 ounces. I don’t care what anybody thinks…..I like Pabst!! My aunt Hazel used to baby sit me when I was a youngster and would slam quite a few PBR’s down on her shift. No wonder I love beer. It’s in my blood. I had a bunch of aunts, but Aunt Hazel is the one I miss the most and have the fondest memories of.

Tuesday was a very hectic day to say the least. I’m involved in two, major revenue generating projects at work and I found out that because of delays in development, both will be ready for testing at the same time. Bottom line, I’ll be pretty busy for the next month. Anyway, I was trying to get my materials together for a meeting with one of the project managers when SiL sent me the picture you see above. I so needed a beer when she sent that pic….you have no idea. Just like that damn roadrunner she is always one up one me.

SiL and CiL just got back from their yearly family reunion. This year it was held up in the mountains of TN. I don’t know if everybody had a good time, but I know CiL and SiL had a good time. They have a good time whenever they get together. I don’t know what inspired the pose for the picture above. Word of advice….if you’re around these two, keep your camera battery charged!! You never know when the craziness will break out. Buddha…you’re gonna need more dollars!!
